Happy New Year Beautiful People! And in the spirit of it, this month’s featured Woodland Dreamer is the Seedling!
Oh from the very beginning, this Dreamer has challenged and pushed me, and although there were times at the start there where I just went ”whyyyyy?!?!”, I was determined to create and bring you something wonderfully earthy and very symbolic. And I am so very glad I figured it out, and my gosh what a journey it was!
I really love the gentle flowiness of the shape of these beauties. They’re all soft and almost done in a single movement – but yes there is this proud, toughness to the Seedlings as well. And a presence too. I liken the Seedling Dreamer to my daughter: she announces her presence to all, even if it’s only been 5 minutes – “I’m here!” Happy, and proud and unapologetic and genuine and bloody wonderful as. Young but always listening and questioning but open to learning something new. And that is so important.
The seedling’s core is there deep within, but even though it does go so deep, it will always grow and change whilst still holding onto what helps it stay healthy and strong. Because if there is no growth and change, how can new ideas happen? How can there be progress and improvement? How can there be bigger and better things? How can there be new knowledge and lessons to learn? How can we become the best of ourselves?
This is your reminder to keep the core of your own self strong and healthy. Look after and nurture yourselves as you would for your own little plant. Your plant thrives in good soil, in its ideal healthy environment, with water, fertiliser and sunshine given at regular intervals, and therefore you should as well. This is something we all deserve.
