I have finally taken some time this week for a whole lot of self-care, including creating my very first spell jar. Using those powerful New Moon vibes, I put out some manifesting vibes for a new house for us to move into at the end of the year. This is something that I have been manfesting for awhile, and this week I thought I would sorta up it a bit. It just felt like the right time to do so.
This Spell Jar was posted in a lovely Witchy Woman group that I am in. I instinctively made a crystal change and added a new element to the ingredients. You can make adjustments too – just go with your instincts and keep those good intentions.
You will need: Sugar, Cinnamon, a Bayleaf, Rosemary, Silver coin, and Moss Agate chips, plus a green candle, a pen/pencil, a lidded jar and a lighter/matches. The original instructions said to use Amethyst chips but I went with Moss Agate, as it’s a special crystal to me, plus being a crystal of New Beginings. I also added a piece of paper that was from the application I had made earlier in the day.
I went outside to my favourite spot and took my shoes off to feel the bare (and freezing cold!) earth, then smudged myself, the ingredients and tools I was going to be using. I lit my candle, and wrote “Home” on the bayleaf and lit it and the paper, then added those ashes into jar with the other ingredients. I then sealed the jar using the green wax from my green candle. I then smudged the jar, candle, and myself, then gave a simple thanks. My jar is now up safely on my sacred space.

Spell jars and some rituals are still relatively new to me, and I am finding that I love these simple and positive ones that I have been using lately. Fingers crossed I can find a lovely new home in Brisbane very soon!!
